We are waiting for that companion to hug, kiss, love, and adore us…Right?
BUT
Have we worked on ourselves so we will be prepared and ready when God allows us to meet that ‘special’ someone created just for us?
Did we ask God to free us from spirits of self-centeredness, insecurity, loneliness, and super sensitiveness?
Have we done an honest evaluation of ourselves and asked the Holy Spirit to deliver us from pride, control, arrogance, and self-aggrandizement?
Did we ask God to show us what we need to work on to be a godly, loving, compassionate, supportive mate?
The good news is – we can get ready if we really desire a mate.
We need to ask the Holy Spirit to help us surrender our selfish desires, needs, and interests to Him.
We must give ourselves totally and completely to Jesus and let His Holy Spirit lead, teach, guide, and direct us.
We ought to crucify the flesh and all its lusts – self-centeredness, insecurity, loneliness, hyper-sensitiveness, pride, control, condescension, and self-enhancement.
We should ask God to show us what we need to work on to be a spouse God honors.
God will reveal the issues you need to surrender to the Holy Spirit.
Saints of God, if we totally and completely surrender our lives to God, spend consistent and frequent time with Him, internalize and obey His word; our mates will be drawn to us.
We will not need to worry about meeting the ‘one’ because the holiness of God dwelling in us will draw our mate to us.
I will finish this discussion in my next post in order not to overwhelm you with information ‘overload.’
