A SAD TALE’S BEST FOR WINTER

A seventy-eight word short, short story for your enjoyment.

The January wind blustered, and you twist your nose when decayed musk and pong fill your nostrils. A cacophony of popping, cracking, and rattling sounds startle you while the heavy air stifles your breaths. Out of nowhere, giant, iridescent colored eyes encircle you, causing your heart to stand still. Glowing – motionless and soundless, the eyes with no torsos, limbs, or faces glower at you before dashing in your direction. Supernatural abilities strengthen you to defeat the creatures.
