We have been allowed to live to see another year and presented another opportunity to get right with God.

We have another chance to repent and be forgiven.

We are given a new year to practice living ‘holy.’

Let us take advantage of this awesome opportunity and ‘remove’ things that needs to be ‘cleaned’ out of our lives – you know -bigotry, prejudice, hatred, jealousy, envy, bitterness, unforgiveness, hurt, anger, resentment, revengefulness, rebellion, stubbornness, disobedience, fear, doubt, unbelief, insecurity… and gluttony.

I could go on but I think you get the picture.

The song that Yolanda Adams and Israel Houghton sings together has been on my heart and mind all week – “You are Amazing, amazing, your love for me is so amazing, how “Awesome” is our God!”

We serve an amazing, awesome, faithful, loving, forgiving, merciful, gracious, understanding, all-knowing, all-wise God, who loves us unconditionally; so much that He gave His one and only Son to suffer and die for us.

Who now reigns in heaven daily making intercessions for the saints of God.

How awesome is our God!

As you reflect on last year – goals you didn’t reach and/or things you didn’t accomplish – don’t beat yourself up.

God is still in control – not you, but God!

He has given you and me another opportunity to do it ‘right,’

• Putting Him first.
• Seeking His will and not our will.
• Submitting and surrendering to Him.
• Pursuing Him instead of things.
